Goblin Market has to be one of my favorite stories. It is very detailed and as you read you can’t help but picture the details. Two sisters, one “easy” the other head strong. The easy sister let the men give her fruit and she took that fruit and it was as if she had never tasted anything like it! She craved the fruit! She wanted more and more! she needed more!

The head strong sister did not let the men get the her. She went to collect fruit that her sister craved but she also left with her pride and confidence. She leaving proud that the men could not get to her! You see these men were like animal. Prowling, barking, crawling around women telling them sweet nothings…until they got what they wanted. But they could not get what they’re way with the head strong sister.
In this century, fruit symbolizes one’s pride wrapped in the imagine of something that they long for, something that they lack or desire.
